Prediabetes
A slightly elevated level of blood glucose can be a sign of prediabetes, a condition that can lead to type 2 diabetes. It’s often an insidious disease and commonly produces no symptoms other than possibly tiredness. Without check-ups, there’s a risk that prediabetes will only be detected in the event of a heart attack or other acute heart condition.
A healthy lifestyle can push back prediabetes and prevent the development of type 2 diabetes.
If you have prediabetes, the Health Advice Centre offers an individual programme to help you adopt and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
